As one of the most quintessential and recognizable businesses on the South Shore, it is no question why the “Oyster” Vintage Crewneck Sweatshirt has become a South Shore wardrobe stable!

The Oyster Bag

Featured: The Market Oyster Bag
As the manager of Rocky Nook Oyster Farm in Kingston, MA, Duxbury-native Brooke Lovett was looking for a tote bag that would withstand the conditions she encounters daily on the oyster farm. She created The Oyster Bag, a collection of tote bags made solely from materials found on oyster farms. The primary material used is from the “grow-out” bags used to protect baby seed oysters until they are ready to be planted in the bay.
This is the perfect boat or beach bag!

Founder, designer, and jewelry-maker, Sarah Jean, created Where Watermelons Grow inspired by her love of natural beauty and design. Her pieces are a reflection of her love for the ocean and costal living, and are designed to effortlessly compliment a person’s natural beauty.

Fig. A (pronounced Figure A) in Downtown Hingham is owned and operated by Scituate resident, Aja Amontea. Fig. A is women’s lifestyle boutique with a focus on movement and mindfulness. While being aesthetically beautiful, the shop carries women’s active wear, casual fashion, clean/nontoxic skincare and beauty products, jewelry, accessories, and more! The brands she carries are carefully sourced to be eco and/or socially conscious.

Featured: The Poncho
Have any mamas-to-be on your holiday shopping list? Meg Severance, founder of Bee+Roo and mother of two, has solved the common problem of “how to look chic and discreet” while nursing in public with beautiful, functional cashmere ponchos. The name of the company is an ode to her daughter, Bee, and the protective pouch of a kangaroo.

Levitate Brand

Featured: Men’s Baja Flannel
Another quintessential South Shore brand, Levitate was founded by the late Bob Pollard in 2003 as a community-oriented skate & surf shop. Levitate has since grown to encompass all things surf, skate, music and art for the local South Shore community, including a full clothing line, retail locations, a restaurant, and of course the annual Levitate Music Festival. Levitate has become a culture and way of life that draws people to the South Shore.
My boyfriend is regularly wearing pieces from their men’s clothing line.

Assembly Showroom

Featured: Local Towns Leather Keychain
Assembly Showroom is a retail shop for men and women with two locations on the South Shore – one in Downtown Hingham and one in Cohasset Village. The shops are owned by West Coast native and Hull resident, Matt Gallagher. Matt has beautifully curated a collection of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories for his shops. The shops themselves are as aesthetically pleasing as the product they carry. Matt helps to create an inviting experience as he acts as your friend and personal shopper!
On the rare occasion that I leave my house nowadays, you will see me in a pair of jeans that Matt helped me pick out. I also have the exact Scituate keychain featured on my keyring. The shop carries a version for almost every local town!

Featured: Lighthouse Can Chiller
Untold Brewing, founded by brewer Matt Elder, is a fan-favorite microbrewery and full taproom located in Scituate, MA. They brew a variety of styles ranging from hop forward IPAs to seasonal offerings.

Founded by George Welch in 1879, Welch Company was originally a general store for Scituate residents. As the Welch Company evolved over the years, it became a place where people from throughout the South Shore find unique gifts and decorative items for the home.
